Here is the schedule of events for the 2004 season. We've provided a little information about the actual battle, what type of event it will be
and where to find it to help you find an event you will enjoy. Normally living history events will also include some type of military demonstration,
such as a same skirmish or play, as well as camp sites from the time period. Many events will also have a number of companies, referred to
as sutlers, that sell reproduction items for the re-enactors and those just interested in history. All the
reenactors at these events would be
happy to see you come out to the events and answer any questions you may have about life during the American Revolution. If you would

January 17-18: Cowpens Battlefield
Cowpens National Battlefield commemorates the January 17, 1781 battle of Daniel Morgan's army of Continentals, militia and cavalry
over Banastre Tarleton's force of British regulars. In the hour long fight the outnumbered Patriot army destroyed the crack British unit and
turned the tide of the war.
EVENT: This event is primarily living history event.

February 7-8: Wormsloe
Wormsloe was the colonial estate constructed by Noble Jones, one of Georgia’s first settlers, arriving in Savannah in 1733.
EVENT: This is living history event highlighting 18th century life, military drills, craft demonstrations, music and dance.
LOCATION: Savannah, Georgia.
February 21-22: Latta Plantation
Reenactment of local Charlotte NC history with the Battle of the Bee's one of
the incidents that led to Charlotte symbol of the Hornets nest. Attributed
to Lord General Cornwallis referring to the Charlotte area as a
"hornet's nest of rebel activity".
EVENT: Living History and Battle Reenactment
LOCATION: Huntersville, NC,
March 13-14: The Battle of Guilford's Courthouse
On March 15, 1781 Lord Cornwallis and his 2200 man force fought a two hour battle against Maj, Gen. Greene commanding 4400 men.
Cornwallis is given credit for winning this battle but at a cost of nearly a quarter of his force.
EVENT: This is a re-enactment of the battle.

March 30- April 3: FLETC
Living History event for Federal Law Enforcement Personel and Families to say thank you for all
they do.
April 3-4: Drayton Hall
Completed in 1742, the plantation house stands majestically on a 630-acre site and is one of the finest examples of Georgian-Palladian
architecture in America. Through seven generations of Drayton family ownership, the plantation house has remained in nearly original
condition.
EVENT: This is the first year for this event.

April 24-25: Battersea

EVENT: A reenactment of the battle.
LOCATION: Surry County, VA
June 5-6: Point of Fork
EVENT: A reenactment of the battle in Point Fork.
LOCATION: Columbia, Virginia.
June 15-16: Fort
Watauga
EVENT: A reenactment of the battle.
LOCATION: Johnson City, Tennessee.
July 10-11: Brattonsville
The Battle of Williamson's Plantation, also known as Huck's Defeat, took place on July 2, 1780. British forces under the command of
Captain Christian Huck were surrounded and defeated by combined rebel forces. The battlefield is preserved within the Historic
Brattonsville, a 720-acre living history museum interpreting life in the Carolina Backcountry from 1780 to 1860.
EVENT: A reenactment of the Battle of Huck's Defeat. This is an excellent living history and re-enactment event, one of unit's
favorite events.
LOCATION: Rock Hill, South Carolina.
August 7-8: House in the Horse Shoe
Once the home of Philip Alston, a Whig colonel, the House in the Horseshoe was the site of fighting during the Revolution and still bears
the scars of war. On the morning of August 5, 1781, while Alston and his band of Patriots were camped at the house, they were attacked
by a larger group of Tories led by David Fanning. During the ensuing skirmish, the Tories attempted to set the house on fire by rolling a
cart filled with burning straw against the house. Alston surrendered after both sides took several casualties.
EVENT: A reenactment of the battle between regular troops and militia.

August 14-15: Camden Commemorative Weekend
The Battle of Camden was fought on 16 August 1780, with Lord Cornwallis' force of 2,200 men stopping the army of 7,000 Continentals
and militia commanded by General Gates. The battle was given to the British when the militia under Gates ran from the field without firing
a shot, leaving the Maryland and Delaware Continentals to fight the British alone.
EVENT: This is a special living history event, hosted by the unit, that
portrays life in the British camp the days before the Battle
of Camden. A re-enactment of the battle takes place later in the year.
LOCATION: Camden, South Carolina.
September 16-21 : The Battle at Spruce Pine.
EVENT: A reenactment of the battle at Spruce Pine.

September 9-12: FLETC Artesia NM
EVENT: Living History event for Federal Law Enforcement Personel and Families to say thank you for all
they do.
LOCATION: Artesia NM (Jaegers allow 4+ days for round trip travel)
October 2-3: Walnut Grove Plantation
An authentic interpretation of life in Spartanburg County before 1830. The Georgian style house was built in 1765 on a land grant from
King George III and the home of the Charles Moore family during the Revolution. Walnut Grove has been restored as the center of a
complete plantation complex.
EVENT: This is living history event and another unit favorite.
LOCATION: Spartanburg, South Carolina.
October 9-10: Siege Of Savannah
225th Anniversary of the battle.
EVENT: 225th Battle Reenactment
LOCATION: Savannah GA
October 16-17: North Augusta
EVENT: This is the site of a living history event with some military demonstrations. The park is a beautiful, well-maintained site
with springs, tavern, smokehouse, blacksmith's house, and outdoor oven.
LOCATION: North Augusta, South Carolina.
November 6-7: Camden
The Battle of Camden was fought on 16 August 1780, with Lord Cornwallis' force of 2,200 men stopping the army of 7,000 Continentals
and militia commanded by General Gates. The battle was given to the British when the militia under Gates ran from the field without firing
a shot, leaving the Maryland and Delaware Continentals to fight the British alone.
EVENT: The re-enactment of the Battle of Camden. One of the largest battle re-enactments in the Carolinas. There are two large
camp sites, one for the American units and one for the British units, as well as a large sutler area.
LOCATION: Camden, South Carolina.
November 13-14: Fort King George
EVENT: A reenactment of the battle during the French and Indian War.
LOCATION: Darien, Georgia.
November 27-28: King's Mountain
EVENT: Living History
LOCATION: Kings Mountain SC
December 4-5: St. Augustine
EVENT: The final gathering for the year is a living history event with a parade.
LOCATION: St. Augustine, Florida.
