Command & Staff

The 2nd Company, Hesse-Kassel Jäger re-enactment group officials are separated into a Command section and a Staff section. The Staff section is made up of elected and appointed officials responsible for the administration of the group. The following officers make up this section; (click on the underlined position title to contact that individual)

    PRESIDENT president@jaegerkorps.org :The President is the Administrative head of the Group and the Board of Directors. The responsibilities of the office include presiding over and call meetings, making special appointments to offices and committees, speaking for the Board, reporting to and presenting business matters of importance to the general membership and ensuring the historical accuracy within the group.

    VICE PRESIDENT vicepresident@jaegerkorps.org : The V.P. provides advice to the President and presides in the absence of the President.

    SECRETARY secretary@jaegerkorps.org : The Secretary is responsible for recording the minutes of meetings, publishing the unit newsletter at least quarterly, maintaining archival information pertaining to the Group and maintaining documents and other items that are important to the History of the unit.

    TREASURER treasurer@jaegerkorps.org : Shall be responsible for the custody and control of the funds as well as keep an accounting of all receipts and disbursements, which shall be open for auditing at any time and give a report of accounts on a quarterly basis through the newsletter. The Treasurer is also responsible for filing the end of year report with the IRS and the South Carolina Attorney Generals Office to maintain 501-C-3 tax free status.

    EVENTS COORDINATOR eventcoord@jaegerkorps.org : This position is appointed by the President and is responsible for being the primary point of contact for the group with the event sites and providing the Secretary with pertinent information on upcoming events for dispersal in the Korps newsletter. Events or organizations that would like to invite the Jägers to a historical event or special activity should contact the Events Coordinator.

    QUARTERMASTER quartermaster@jaegerkorps.org : An appointed office responsible for the custody and control of the equipment and supplies, including the storage, maintenance, repair, accountability and transportation of equipment identified as belonging to the unit.

The Command section is made up of elected officials responsible for the tactical operations of the group during battle re-enactments. The following officers make up this section;

    kommander@jaegerkorps.org SENIOR LIEUTENANT : This position acts as the Field Commander and exercises tactical control of the unit when engaged in a battlefield scenario, as well as when in a camp life setting or living history presentation. The Senior Lieutenant will be solely responsible for deciding whether a situation is safe and whether the unit will continue participation.

    JUNIOR LIEUTENANT: The Junior Lieutenant will assist the Senior Lieutenant in exercising tactical control of the unit and in the maintenance of order in the camp. In the event the unit is split into two detachments the Junior Lieutenant will command one of the detachments. When in charge of a detachment the Junior Lieutenant will be responsible for the safety of the members in his care.

    SENIOR KORPORAL : The Senior Korporal will assist the Lieutenants in the execution of their duties and when placed in a leadership position either by attrition or in attendance, will share in the responsibilities and authority of the previously listed senior positions.

    JUNIOR  KORPORAL : The Junior Corporal will assist the Lieutenants in the execution of their duties and when placed in a leadership position either by attrition or in attendance, will share in the responsibilities and authority of the previously listed senior positions.

The Group has also established a Public Information Team to respond to questions and requests.
